“Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief:” ASV (1 Tim 1:15)
“for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;” ASV (Ro 3:23)
Q. For whom did Christ come to save?
Q. How many people are sinners?
A. All people
Q. Are you a sinner?
Conclusion: Christ came to save YOU! Whoever you are.
Also notice that Paul makes the following statement about himself: “of whom I am chief”
The obvious implication is that if Paul, as the chief of sinners can be saved, then so can any other sinner. The opportunity is there for all, for all are sinners, and Christ came to save sinners. It’s a matter of accepting what Christ provided for us.
