Israel in Hebrews – [Introduction]

This series is really a continuation of the previous series, “Israel and the Church.” The difference is that it will be based on what the book of Hebrews says about this subject.

Hebrews was written primarily to Jewish Christians, and so I think a study of this book is important as it relates to Israel and the Church. As we’ll see, the writer of Hebrews is in complete harmony with the idea that Israel has its fulfillment and continuation in Christ and His Church.

We’ll also see the evidence that the writer viewed the Church as the prophesied kingdom, which has its ultimate fulfillment in the Eternal Kingdom of the New Heaven and the New Earth.

For those of you who are new to this website, we’re going through a preliminary study of God’s Word in order to prepare us for the book of Revelation. This preparatory work is needed in order to rightly interpret that book. A proper understanding regarding Israel and the Church is a primary key.
