“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
It was Christ the Lord who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead, thus becoming the Savior of the world.
If it was Christ the Lord who paid the price for our sins, how then can anyone possibly make the argument that we need not surrender to His Lordship at conversion? As this angel indicated, Lord and Savior go together. His very titles of “Lord” and “King” requires the proper response.
